Huge 999 operation in Tiverton for 'kayaker in distress'

Well, it sounds like our local emergency services were kept busy down by the River Exe recently, with a large-scale rescue operation for a kayaker in trouble! Thankfully, it seems all's well that ends well, but it's a reminder of the vital work our coastguard and RNLI crews do right here on our doorstep.
